Activists held a series of mock trials of squatters at the squatted Old Street magistrates court today to highlight the campaign against the goverment's plans to criminalise squatting in residential properties.

The court also heard testimony of the consequences to vulnerable people should the bill pass and fierce criticism of the consultation process that has excluded those who will be most affected.

Who the F*** is the "I'm not a racist but...." beardy character in this video . Housing is not an immigration issue it is a funding issue and , and squatting is the last possibility of many migrant people to have a roof over their head .
There is not uncontrolled immigration Europe has become a fortress whose member states like the UK wage wars and support dictators and their elites in other countries to obtain their resources cheaply. Millions are displaced.. ie made homeless in their own countries and a couple of hundred thousand handful end up . The neo liberal system devised in the UK and the US is driving prices up everywhere people then have to move to find a better life

It is uncontrolled housing speculation driving up rents for all, and its common knowledge that there has been no decent council housing built for over thirty by either Tory or new labour .. Do not let the rich and their media machine exploit our ignorance of others situations and turn us against each other
