The first of the London Occupy movement's citizen tribunals took place today looking at the case for the former British government under Tony Blair to be prosecuted for war crimes.

The event, staged at the former magistrates court in Old Street, Hackney, was recorded to enable an edited version to be presented to the police in the coming weeks in the hope they will investigate.

The tribunal, held in front of a four-man panel, was also filmed the Iranian and Russian state English language broadcasters Press TV and Russia Today meaning the event could be seen by hundreds of thousands of people across the world.

A second event will take place tomorrow (Friday) from 12pm examing the government's plans to criminalise squatting which will again be broadcast live from http://www.livestream.com/occupyLSX
