'The Wave' climate demonstration and 'Cop Out Camp Out' action, December 2009

During the weekend of 5th and 6th of December, London mobilised ahead the COP15 Climate Conference due to take place in Copenhagen from 7th-18th December. London's build up to COP15 included a large protest march called "The Wave" that took place on Saturday Dec 5th, and included an anti-capitalist block. Earlier on the day there was also a call for a Climate Bike Ride and a Climate Emergence Rally at midday. The Climate Camp in London also announced an action - the COP OUT Camp Out to take place after the Wave.

London Indymedia kept busy covering both the main demonstration which attracted 50,000 people, and the Climate Camp action afterwards that resulted in the occupation of Trafalgar Square where a Climate Camp was set up.
