We joined the J30 Critical Mass at the Brixton Oval. Prior to that we had been for a while visiting the different pickets in the Brixton area, and we quickly realised that this strike wasn't going to be confined to a ritual Unions march in central London. Cuts Reporting
Thursday 30th June saw the first attempt to a General Strike in Britain for more than 80 years, although it was primarily a Public Sector workers' strike.
As part of the support for the strike from people who are not necessarily public sector workers, a Critical Mass happened in South London, visiting the picket lines that had been announced and showing support.

UK Uncut arrived this morning to feed bicsuits to greedy bankers. just down the road, another crowd gathered outside the library to find it shut! people decided to flier, talk to people. later on some coppers came to tell the barclays crowd that apparently feeding bicsuits to greedy bankers is "criminal damage" according to the police...lol.

Students at Goldsmiths college have occupied the Deptford town hall building in the centre of the campus. The red and black flag has been hoisted above the building and a banner embalzoned "OCCUPATION" has been hung on the front of the building.
The students have occupied the building in the aim of securing two scholarships, for students from Al-Quds university, which Goldsmiths is twinned with.
