People took to the streets to express their compassion with the family of Ian Tomlinson who tragically died during the 1st April protests at the Bank of England. They were calling for an independent public inquiry into the instances of police violence that occurred though out the week and to establish to true circumstances of his death. They went up the ouside of a building, then along and over the top of the riot police line in order to make in into the camp.

In response to the death of a protestor during the demonstrations against the G20 in the City of London on the 1st April 2009, a solidarity demonstration will assemble at Bank at 1pm.

Lots of people in kettles and pens, some not trickle-tight, but so much cops, it was hard to even get a glimpse at the protesters at bank. Every police line surrounded by onlookers, who occasionally effectively blockade the streets. The amount of all types of cameras, camcorders and mobile phone recording is ttally mad.
