This will be the fifth London FreeSchool event since september 2008. We had tons of workshops, hosted in many different social centres scattered around london and lots of very diverse people doing and attending workshops!

FreeSchool on Housing, Squatting & Gentrification

19th - 21st June 2009

A weekend of free workshops, discussions and skillsharing focusing on issues relating to housing and squatting is being planned for mid-June. The London FreeSchool will be occupying an empty building for the weekend. This is an open project for people to come and get involved in creating a new space from the beginning. It will hopefully include workshops relating to opening/fixing squats, housing rights and gentrification.

a week of workshops, discussions & skill-shari

The planning for the London FreeSchool week is going well with confirmed workshops and the such like starting to appear on the website: http://londonfreeschool.wordpress.com. Bowl Court Social Centre, the original location for the weeks event, was sadly evicted a couple of weeks ago. However, the event lives on and has moved to the rampART (http://www.rampart.co.nr) and LARC (http://www.londonarc.org.) After all a free school should not be limited and contained by concrete walls!
