Have you heard of Food not Bombs?
One of the best ideas of the past 30 years! It's very simple; a bunch of people getting together, getting vegetables and other stuff from bins or donated, cooking it altogether and giving it for free to anyone in the streets!!
How simpler, better and more rewarding could it be? Using a waste of capitalism and surplus production to feed people you've never seen before with delicious vegan food :)

Theres was one in Hackney (hackneyfnb@googlemail.com) that died out because of lack of energy/people. However lots of people regularly express their interest in starting some new FNB chapters, and all that's needed is some people committing to make it happen. Let us know if you're interested, you can join the mailing list and some of us can assist in providing food and catering equipment :)

A group of around 15 volunteers converged on Hackney town hall on Christmas eve armed with vast quantities of delicious, warm vegan food carried by cycle, trailer and trolley to give freely to the community, no strings attached, under the banner of 'Reclaim your food'.
