++ EVERY OTHER FRIDAY, 6-11pm ++
Fortnightly cafe. We'll have yummy vegan food on donation and each Friday, we will watch an episode of "Survivors", an awesome BBC TV series from the 70s, about life in the UK after a major virus plague killed most of the humans on earth!! It's a program about people trying to (re)build collectives and communities from scratch, and we only look at it as an interesting starting point for a discussion on these issues.

Why do all the events have to happen at the same time?
I'm wondering why this cafe happens on the one night that the social drinking club happens in LARC (i.e. the Red and Black club) which happens to be a fundraiser for the (only?) permanent radical resource centre/space...
Why don't parts of the so-called 'radical movement' actually communicate with each other instead of competing for the rather small number of often-quite-skint radicals wishing to support various spaces?
Isn't this what an events calendar on Indymedia could be used for? A way to schedule things a bit better so that we're not all throwing benefit gigs on the same night at the same time in different parts of the city?
Solidarity, people, not competition.
