Join us for civil disobedience outside Downing Street on January 31st, 2011.

If you can, make and bring a 9/11 related sign. Unless you are able to be peaceful and have compassion for the police we respectfuly request you don't come.

THE PLAN: Meet at the roundabout next to Trafalgar Square at 10am, discuss what to do, and then head down Whitehall to Downing Street.

BEING ARRESTED: You are likely to be arrested and detained for up to 6 hours so maybe bring a book. Peter Dale Scotts 'The Road to 9/11' is a good one.

WHY: The events of 11th September 2001 act as the foundational myth of the War On Terror. Every civil liberty curtailed, every British soldier who doesn't return home, every innocent murdered in Afghanistan – all of these have but one justification: 9/11.

Until the true nature of the 11th September attacks is exposed it will continue to be used to justify the brutal occupation of Afghanistan and the further suffering of people around the world. Afghanistan strategically is of the utmost importance to powerful interests who have been targetting the hydrocarbon resources of that part of the world (and beyond) for a long time. The West's dependency on these resources isn't likely to change anytime soon. This action is dedicated to all the victims of the 9/11 wars.
