To celebrate 30 years of the Nuclear Dawn Mural on Brixton's Coldharbour Lane, the London Mural Preservation Society have organised a talk with the original artist Brian Barnes. Please see below for more information about the event:
Tucked behind Brixton Wholefoods on Coldharbour lane is one of the most stunning murals of it's time, come and help us celebrate it's birthday and find out more about this legendary Brixton landmark.
We are honoured to be joined by the creator himself, Brian Barnes, who will give a talk about the history and creation of this amazing piece of local artwork, along with a slide show and the screening of 'Not the end of the world' by life time Brixton resident, Hannah Miller, an animation based on growing up in Brixton, nuclear paranoia and the mural.
Meet us at 12:30 at the Dogstar and we shall take you to see Nuclear Dawn. Then stay with us to find out more about it's story.
Please fill free to pass this on to anyone you feel would be interested. This is a free event and we want to see lots of local people at the event.
