DESCRIPTION:<p>This event is a regular meeting reminder for all the many
people and groups out there that use LARC (or want to become involved in
the space) to discuss and plan the running of the place we all know and
love to depend on: the London Action Resource Center.</p>\n<p>For the p
ast decade\, LARC has been a useful resource in the growing struggle aga
inst capitalism\, centralised power\, environmental destruction and war.
.. and a shared tool on the way to creating a truly free and ecological
community...</p>\n<p>And so too will it be for the next decade - So come
get involved and help LARC be all it can be\, in aiding in the struggle
! Bring your ideas and energy to the agenda... Meetings start promptly a
 t 7:30pm and end by 9pm.</p>\n<p>See you there!</p>\n<p><strong>HELPING
 LARC KEEP ON KEEPING ON:</strong></p>\n<p>For 10 years\, the <a href="ht
 tp://www.londonarc.org">London Action Resource Centre</a> (aka LARC)&nbs
p\;has been a building where groups and individuals favouring positive s
ocial and ecological change have been able to meet\, make banners\, stuf
f the latest agitprop in a pocket\, watch films\, grow food\, listen to
fine politicised acoustic tunes\, to read and to drink tea. We bought th
e place\, converted it and now run it according the heartfelt principles
of leaderless\, consensual decision-making and a belief that the only l
asting solutions to the current (and time-old) capitalistic madness are
the ones that come from the bottom up.</p>\n<p>Beautiful\, inspired squa
tted spaces have come and gone\, but LARC has the potential to provide l
ong-term support for London's direct action movements\, and to help prov
ide a public space for them. So far\, although much could be improved\,
it's gone pretty well. In 2009 though\, we have lost a few key people fr
om the small group that keeps the bills paid and the tea bags in abundan
ce\, and we're putting out the call for those groups and individuals who
have used or currently use the space to see if they're able to put a li
ttle more time in at the engine room of the project\, in order for it to
carry on doing what it does best\, and maybe even help to do it better.
It's also time to see if there are new users out there who might be abl
e to spare some time.</p>\n<p>So one step towards reestablishing a stron
g group at LARC's core is December's monthly meeting\, which will run fr
om 7-9pm\, after which we'll eat some food or head to the pub. It's open
to anyone\, and attending is not a commitment to taking anything on. Fo
r your interest\, here are some of the jobs we're looking for help with:
