DESCRIPTION:<p>At the last meeting\, we sorted out such things as the bro
ken toilet\, the broken window\, key access\, as well as discussing how
to get space users more involved in the upkeep of the building. We decid
ed on opening the space on a regular Friday night for socialising purpos
es and will work on getting that disco ball up and running.</p>\n<p>Then
we f*cked off to the pub for some subversive chat over pints of ale and
crisps. All in all\, a right laugh!</p>\n<p>So come get involved and he
lp inject your enthusiasm and ideas into London's permanent\, autonomous
ly organised resource space.</p>\n<p>-a LARC user</p>\n<p>______________

 ___________</p>\n<p><strong>REGULAR ANNOUNCEMENT INFO:</strong></p>\n<p>
This event is a regular meeting reminder for all the many people and gro
ups out there that use LARC (or want to become involved in the space) to
discuss and plan the running of the place we all know and love to depen
d on: the London Action Resource Center.</p>\n<p>For the past decade\, L
ARC has been a useful resource in the growing struggle against capitalis
m\, centralised power\, environmental destruction and war... and a share
d tool on the way to creating a truly free and ecological community...</
p>\n<p>And so too will it be for the next decade - So come get involved
and help LARC be all it can be\, in aiding in the struggle! Bring your i
deas and energy to the agenda... Meetings start promptly at 7:30pm and e
nd by 9pm.</p>\n<p>See you there!</p>\n<p><strong>HELPING LARC KEEP ON K
 EEPING ON:</strong></p>\n<p>For 10 years\, the <a href="http://www.londo
 narc.org">London Action Resource Centre</a> (aka LARC)&nbsp\;has been a
building where groups and individuals favouring positive social and ecol
ogical change have been able to meet\, make banners\, stuff the latest a
gitprop in a pocket\, watch films\, grow food\, listen to fine politicis
ed acoustic tunes\, to read and to drink tea. We bought the place\, conv
erted it and now run it according the heartfelt principles of leaderless
\, consensual decision-making and a belief that the only lasting solutio
ns to the current (and time-old) capitalistic madness are the ones that
come from the bottom up.</p>\n<p>Beautiful\, inspired squatted spaces ha
ve come and gone\, but LARC has the potential to provide long-term suppo
rt for London's direct action movements\, and to help provide a public s
pace for them. So far\, although much could be improved\, it's gone pret
ty well. In 2009 though\, we have lost a few key people from the small g
roup that keeps the bills paid and the tea bags in abundance\, and we're
putting out the call for those groups and individuals who have used or
currently use the space to see if they're able to put a little more time
in at the engine room of the project\, in order for it to carry on doin
g what it does best\, and maybe even help to do it better. It's also tim
e to see if there are new users out there who might be able to spare som
e time.</p>\n<p>So one step towards reestablishing a strong group at LAR
C's core is December's monthly meeting\, which will run from 7-9pm\, aft
er which we'll eat some food or head to the pub. It's open to anyone\, a
nd attending is not a commitment to taking anything on. For your interes
t\, here are some of the jobs we're looking for help with:</p>\n<ul>\n<l
 i>website </li>\n<li>basement </li>\n<li>checking LARC emails </li>\n<li
 >general DIY around the building </li>\n<li>making publicity materials <
 /li>\n<li>fundraising </li>\n</ul>\n<p>If you can't get to the meeting\,
but might be up for helping with one of these roles\, email info@london
 arc.org Thanks and take care\,</p>\n<p>LARC\, 62 Fieldgate Street\, Lond
