er our costs)<br /></strong>&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>Dear friends and fe
llow travellers</strong>\, As you may know\,&nbsp\;<strong><i>Vertigo</
i></strong>&nbsp\;magazine is finally closing after 16 years charting i
ndependent\, innovative\, imaginative and internationalist moving image
work in all its forms across the world. We close reluctantly\, with ma
ny dedicated supporters - readers\, writers\, makers - but without the
necessary financial assistance to continue and develop\, despite numer
ous extended negotiations.</p>\n<p><br />Eventually we aim to produce
 a book exploring the work&nbsp\;<strong><i>Vertigo</i></strong>&nbsp\;ha
s charted. Firstly\, however\, we will host a farewell party to celebra
te what has been achieved over the years in both the magazine and its
numerous events / screenings.</p>\n<p>We will be at The Horse Hospita
l near Russell Square from 7pm on 10th February and plan an evening of
suitably independent world music from&nbsp\;<strong>DJ Leon Parker</str
 ong>\, short<strong>films</strong>&nbsp\;and&nbsp\;<strong>readings</st
 rong>&nbsp\;by a number of our esteemed&nbsp\;<strong>contributors</str
ong>. <br />We look forward to seeing you there.</p>\n<p>Thank You! Th
