thats a no then is it
oh dear, no answer to my email and no response here means i obviously can't come...
well that's real sad for me and for any other wheelchair users hoping to be part of this event. i hope it is a success for those who are able to be there.
enjoy your able-bodied-ness folks, but remember it is almost certainly a temporary luxury - you may well end up with disabilities in the future and life will look very different then.
the irony is so many asylum seekers have disabilities from torture and war, its a much bigger proportion of people amongst asylum seekers than amongst the "general population" and none of them will be able to be part of this event.
correction
sorry its obviously not true "none of them will be able to" as their is a diverse range of disabilities and not all affect ones ability to climb stairs. what i mean is that no wheelchair users and nobody who finds steps difficult will be able to come.
there is a ramp
the toilets are not so wheelchair friendly, but we would like to make them so.
