<p>Hello,<br /><br />There is a global vigil planned for Sunday Nov 8th, in cities across the world, to draw attention to the 100th day of imprisonment for the three American hikers in Iran, including one has filed stories in the past with Indymedia (Several years ago, he reported on conditions in Darfur for Indymedia.)</p>
<p>This will be the first vigil in London. It will be this Sunday Nov 8th, from 1-3pm, in front of the Iranian Embassy in London.</p>
<p>Shane Bauer, Sarah Shourd, and Josh Fattal are American hikers who are being held at the notorious Evin prison in Tehran. They have been held since July 31st. Due to all the unrest in Iran, their plight has gotten little coverage in the UK and European media. Hopefully indymedia will help with this. As someone who as also written stories for indymedia in the past (also for San Francisco), but who has recently moved to London and barely knows a soul, I hope you will come support us in solidarity.</p>
<p>Shane Bauer is a reporter who has filed stories for Indymedia (San Francisco) in the past. He fluent in Arabic and has done wonderful work for The Nation and Democracy Now! amongst other news outlets. He was living in Damascus and was doing some reporting in the region before he was detailed. You can see his work at http://shanebauer.net .</p>
