<p>The <strong>Bent Bars Project</strong> is a letter-writing program for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, gender-variant, intersex, and queer prisoners in Britain.<strong><i> </i></strong>Writing can give someone in prison vital emotional support and help them be less vulnerable to violence. Come and get matched with a prisoner who is looking for a penpal and get ideas about writing to a prisoner for the first time. Be involved in putting together resources, with writing from prisoners involved in the project. Third thursday of every month.</p>
