HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH (2001)
American musical film based on the stage musical by an East German transgendered singer and her punk rock band. The film was adapted and directed by John Cameron Mitchell. The music and lyrics are by Stephen Trask. Edwing tells her life story through a series of concerts and explains that human beings were once round, two-faced, four-armed, and four-legged beings. Angry gods split these early humans in two, leaving the separated people with a lifelong yearning for their other half.

UNVEILED (2005)
Survival is not enough. Fariba Tabrizi has made it. Under peril of death she has fled from Iran where she is persecuted due to her lesbian relationship. In Germany she has no alternative way of avoiding the threat of deportation other than to assume the identity of deceased co-detainee. Directed by Angelina Maccarone the movie is a political drama and reminder of what women around the world must sacrifice and endure in order to love freely, to live freely, as a lesbians, specifically, and women in general.

HAPPY TOGETHER (1997)
"Happy Together " is Hong Kong movie directed by Wong Kar-wai and is essentially a study of a couple falling in and out of love. The couple from pre-handover Hong Kong, visit Argentina hoping to renew their ailing relationship. The two have a pattern of abuse, followed by break-ups and reconciliations. One of their goals in Argentina is to visit the Iguazu waterfalls, which serves as a leitmotif in the movie. A heady cocktail of vision and sound by Bueno Aires rythms and Frank Zappa's jazz.

SHORTBUS (2006)
American comedy-drama film written and directed by John Cameron Mitchell, who interweaves three separate tales of highly sexed and sexually frustrated New Yorkers, all of whom find some kind of salvation at an underground club named Shortbus. Anything goes at Shortbus--wild orgies between people from different ages, backgrounds, and sexual preferences are treated as commonplace. The movie revolves around the search for identity and acceptance--into a prominent orifice will also find plenty to enjoy
here.
