Speakers:
Frances Webber, campaigning immigration lawyer
Arun Kundnani, editor 'Race and Class'
Ann Singleton, Senior Research Fellow, Centre for the Study of Poverty
and Social Justice, University of Bristol, signatory on Times Higher

About the Points Based System For Immigration:
The new regulations will require academic staff to monitor
the attendance of overseas students, reporting them to UKBA if they miss too many classes and assignments; this has obvious implications for human rights and academic freedom. The new regulations have also made it more difficult both for overseas students to obtain visas and also for overseas researchers to visit the UK.
