Speaker: Mike Foster It’s easy to assume that Marxism and physics complement each other. Both use scientific methods to explain the world in a materialistic way, without referring to supernatural or religious accounts. But developments in physics suggest a view of reality which contradicts many assumptions made by Marxists. Indeed, the advances in cosmology and quantum physics raise questions for all of us about our origins, and even our freedom and our self-defined purpose in life. This talk asks if Marxism really is compatible with the cutting-edge of physics. Free entry Audience participation Free refreshments
