Halloween Critical Mass - in support of squatting
The Government have announced plans to criminalise squatting in residential buildings.
They've snuck a new amendment into the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill, which is already halfway through the parliamentary process. As far as we know, MPs will be voting on this Bill's passage (to the House of Lords) on Tuesday afternoon.
SQUASH (Squatters Action for Secure Homes) is calling for action. There will be a sleep-out action tonight (the 31st). And there will be some extra special Critical Mass rides, in support of squatting.
Meet on the South Bank - in Halloween costume if you wish - and be ready to ride at 7pm sharp.
Check out the SQUASH website for details of more rides, protests, and what else you can do:
STILL WE RIDE! STILL WE SQUAT!
