two lively protests took place at downing street this lunchtime. one was a pro-gaddafi protest against western bombing. the other was a muslim protest against the 'western crusade'.

the pro-gaddafi protest of several hundred people waved green flags and complained of western propaganda. their banners spoke of libyan rebels being small in numbers and heavily-armed, backed by western interests. they denied that the protests were in any way a people's call for democracy. after a couple of hours, they left the pen opposite downing street and headed on a march to the libyan embassy near hyde park.

meanwhile, muslims, mainly dressed in black, screamed slogans of religious fervour, and not a little hatred. they also believed the west had no right to be in libya, and said that the muslims would deal with gaddafi and all dictators before marching west and bringing sharia law to the world in the name of allah.

personally, i think it's high time the muslim god and the christian god had their heads banged together and sorted themselves out. i'm sure they don't really want all this trouble over their respective teachings of peace, justice, respect, and observance.
