Some people say that the SHAC campaign is over. Well try telling that to Barclays who are getting several demos a day at the moment!! We were back on the streets in the City of London disturbing the shameful companies who still deal with HLS.
We started our day of demos at 1230, with the first target being BNY Mellon on Queen Victoria Street. This totally amoral bank has huge numbers of shares in both HLS and NYSE Euronext. These sorry group of individuals are such a bunch of robots. Sever your ties with HLS, Mellon or we'll be back!
Next was a couple of Barclays: Fleet Street and High Holborn. We stayed at these shaming this disgusting bank for it's appalling ethical record, and gained great support from the public and handed out bundles of leaflets. After a while we moved on to AXA on Newgate Street.
AXA still have massive amounts of shares in NYSE Euronext. After this we moved to another Barclays, this time in King Street. We left this regular demo spot at 4:03pm, leaving to go to JP Morgan on London Wall, who still have huge numbers of shares in NYSE Euronext. Finally, we ended up at Barclays in Piccadilly Circus - the part of the city that literally never sleeps. Hundreds of people walk past this branch every minute and we got really good support there for the third day in a row.
Seven London demos today. 11 in the last 3 days. SHAC dead?? You've got to be kidding!!! We're just warming up...
