80 days ago the democracy village set up on parliament square. Now it has gone. After losing the court hearing on 16th July (press release), and sending a call out to stand up for democracy, the eviction started just after 1am in the night of Monday 19th July. The public square was fenced in and democracy out (pics | video), and the two people in D-locks couldn't stop this. No one was arrested, but calls were made for a day of non-violent direct action on Tuesday and a people's assembly the next Saturday 1pm. Indeed fence jumping hapened on Tuesday 20th July a people's assemby was held on Sunday 25th July

After our dear Boris had called the camp "nauseating" and showed more concern for what happened to the lawn than for the right to protest in a so-called democracy, not to speak of the people killed by British soldiers and the kids being send out to kill and be killed, the leader of Westminster Council, Colin Barrow, said he was "relieved this dreadful blight of Parliament Square has finally come to an end, and look forward to it being restored to its previous condition so all Londoners can visit and enjoy it". All those Londoners who are still alive. As long as they don't dare bring plackards.

Additions

Gardening

take a half pound of compost. Mix in a quarter pound of wildflower seeds. add a little bit of water with some dilute fertilizer (stop objecting, some chemicals are good). Put the mixture into a water bomb.

As you are passing the building site, lob it in. Seeds are so much harder to dislodge than people.

No more democracy village?

But there is a open public square in front of the houses of parliament empty and vacant for members of the public to use;)

So what are Boris's supposed restrictions of use of this space?

Members of the public using a public space is not squatting is it?

No to fertaliser

I am shocked that someone is suggesting to use fertaliser. This popultion is possibly the biggest factor destroying an inland waters.
