Barclays Protest at Piccadilly Circus

SHAC were back out on the streets in London again today at arguably the most visible SHAC target in the world - Barclays Bank in Piccadilly Circus. We stayed for nearly 2 hours and gave out hundreds of leaflets telling everyone what a disgusting company Barclays are for continuing to be the largest shareholder in the disgraced and cruel Huntingdon Life Sciences.
We had a lot of interest from the public and one person said they would close their account and move to a far more ethical bank (which will not be hard, considering Barclays' track record).
Barclays were whining again and accused us of going in and out of the branch with a megaphone last time we were there (they should be in politics, their lies were almost believable). As usual it didn't take long for the police to turn up, but they were soon on there way again, happy for us to continue our lawful protests informing the passers-by.
And since the Barclays' staff at Piccadilly Circus make us feel so wanted and it is such a good spot for handing out leaflets about Barclays dealings with HLS, we're going to make it our number one demo spot from now on. See you soon.
