tamils protesting en masse in parliament square - closed down parliament - TSG on stand-by
early this morning large numbers of tamil protesters arrived in parliament square
the barriershave been removed at the rear of the square and the tamils have filled the grass, though the front barriers remain. members of the parliament square peace campaign have asked police to remove them as they may fall and crush people at the front. inspector woolof has been warned of the health and safety implications but has so far not done anything.
previous story on barriers at http://london.indymedia.org.uk/articles/1205
by 9am they took over the road in front of parliament and more than a thousand have closed off the area with a massive sit-down. the carriage gates were closed and not even staff are allowed to enter westminster.
