#N30 Trafalgar Square Barrier Crazy Containment

A few snaps of the largest use I've seen of the police mobile road barriers - blocking access through Traf Sq in london today. Also as with the recent student demonstration on Nov 9th, the entire route of the march had every single possible exit street barricaded and guarded by a mix of police, vans, mounted riot officers (horses) and dogs.

Hang on!!

Well there you go thanks to photographer it's now so transparent.. ..bet the bankers didn't foot the bill for this! Either!

Nice of them to provide

Nice of the filth to provide this graffitti wall for entertaining us whilst we're kettled. And it makes such a convenient anti FIT photography barrier for when you're preparing molotovs!

Funny Old Game

Funny really as the Bill know that nothing major was gonna kick off on this one. It was a boring A-B union demo like June 30th. Any action would be where it was, at random places like the Sparks demo and the later Panton House occupation. So what's the rationale for a fuck-off big fence around Whitehall and Traf Sq? Just for show really. Plod are talking about buying a water cannon for London. Funny Old Game as I say.

Sanitising

I reckon there's a pretty good reason for it - aside from being a show of how almighty hard the police are, it keeps the public eye away (to some degree) from the protestors going past. Probably also why they were taking placards from people who wanted to go into Trafalgar Square at one end of the blast wall after the end of the march.

You're right re access

Same as with the student demo, people wanting to join the demo from anywhere other than the start had quite a difficult job finding the chink in the fences where the cops were letting people filter in. And yes, I heard reports that people had to leave behind signs and banners if they wanted to return up by trafalgar square after the rally.

Fortress London

...It's quite spooky how fortress London will look eventually. Walls to keep the poor from the rich with the thick blue line between....On one hand it shows the fear the establishment have of us and we are having an affect. On the other hand it shows the dystopian nightmare they are prepared to use on us....now really is the time to change how we live....ACAB....No Pasaran!

Madness

Madness I know... and yet the "real media" twice reported this without picture were via tweets... nice to know the Big Brother Corp are doing thier job indpendently of course.
