1) WE DID IT!

At times it felt like an impossible idea - but we did it! We camped in the
City! Thousands of us swooped, set up camp, and drove home the message
that carbon trading is a financial scam that will not stop climate change.
See http://www.climatecamp.org.uk for links to pictures and reports from
the day. We'll do the other 12 hours some other time!

What next? There'll be lots more about future activities in next week's
regular newsletter, but for now:

YOUR LOCAL GROUP
Stay involved by getting in touch with your local group or neighbourhood -
or if there isn't one, set one up.

2) LEGAL CALLOUT: WE NEED YOUR WITNESS STATEMENTS NOW

If you were snatched out, or assaulted, or arrested at the Climate Camp in
the City OR if you witnessed, photographed or videoed these things
happening to anyone else you could describe or identify, PLEASE write up a
description of it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. That means immediately! This very
instant!  Memories of important detail can fade quickly - what's more the
courts know this so it is important that your notes are as
"contemporaneous" as possible.

When writing witness statements, try to make sure your description would
make sense to someone who hadn't been there and knew nothing of the
background. Explain the "lie of the land", and set the scene of anything
relevant which happened beforehand.  And just to reiterate, PLEASE DO IT
NOW! Send to legal at climatecamp.org.uk.

Also, please write a statement if you have any evidence on the police
activity at the Southern end of Bishopsgate from 7pm onwards to the very
final dispersal.

If you have any potentially relevant video footage, please let us know
what location and time you have and let us know at
legal at climatecamp.org.uk

Finally, if you were arrested in relation to the Climate Camp and you
haven't been in touch with the Legal Team, contact
legal at climatecamp.org.uk

Thank you very much,
Legal Team

ps. We apologise that we're not responding to anything other than urgent
emails at the moment. Also, PLEASE MAKE SURE ANY ATTACHEMENTS ARE INCLUDED  when you foward emails.

About half of what we are being fowarded is missing its attachements. We
don't have time to chase things up.

3) LOST PROPERTY INFORMATION

Much of what was left at the Camp when it was forcibly cleared was taken
away by the City of London police. Some items were taken to Rampart or the
Convergence Centre, both of which have since been raided. Various other
items were also rescued from the Camp by individuals. Here's the latest
update we have:

CONVERGENCE CENTRE - OPEN HOUSE, 10AM MONDAY
From Lucy: "I was one of the legal observers after the raid on the
convergence centre yesterday. We hung around right until the end to find
out what would happen to all of the stuff that was left in the building:

- Some stuff will have been seized as evidence and therefore can only be
retrieved from local police stations, we don't know which.
- Some stuff got taken to Rampart on the back of a trailer.
- What was left in the building (lots of rucksacks, tents, clothes, etc)
is currently behind boards. The company who was boarding up the building
has gone into receivership, so there will be an open house on Monday
morning, where the local police will take everything out of the building
and put it on the street between 10am and 12pm. People should come along
and get their stuff!"

The Convergence Centre was at: Payne House, 8-16 Earl Street, London, EC2A
2AL.

CITY OF LONDON POLICE CLEANSING DEPARTMENT
For items left behind at the Camp and not at the Convergence Centre,
contact the City of London cleansing department: 020 7606 3030. Early
reports suggested that 'everything was thrown away', but that hasn't been
confirmed. You may also want to contact the City of London Police
Professional Standards Department to register a complaint: 020 7601 2770.
If you have any updates, email london at climatecamp.org.uk

LIST OF LOST, FOUND AND MOVED ITEMS SO FAR
Lots of different lost, found and moved item reports have been coming in,
so we've set up a webpage at http://www.climatecamp.org.uk/g20lostproperty

LOST: BLUE RUCKSACK
Just wondering if anyone came across a lost rucksack last night? It's a
navy blue "Regatta" rucksack, and has "survivor" and "30L" written on it
in white. It was pretty full cos had a sleeping bag in it, as well as
glasses and contact lens stuff (i'm blind without them!), some clothing,
book, etc.

LOST: BLACK HANDLE-BAR BAG WITH YELLOW SUNFLOWER
I lost a black handle bar bag (fits on the front of my bike) with a yellow
sunflower on the front, it's got my keys inside one of the side zippy
pockets and my front and back bike lights.

LOST: SILVER NOKIA PHONE
In the chaos during the wonderful event that was climate camp in the city,
Becky S. managed to lose her phone. Apparently someone called Rob
has it, but there are so many it is quite difficult to tell which one it
is! It's a plain silver Nokia (possibly 6230) and isn't anything
especially flashy; if anyone knows where it is, please email london at climatecamp.org.uk

LOST: PURPLE RUCKSACK
I lost a medium-sized purple rucksack with a sleeping bag, black gloves,
keys and grey hat in it.

LOST: BLACK PIXIE COAT, GREEN ROLL MAT AND BLACK AND GREY RUCKSACK I lost
a long black pixie coat with a label that says 'lotus moon' on it, a green
roll mat, and a black and grey rucksack containing a gray and yellow
sleeping bag, gloves, socks, keys, an ipod shuffle and a book called
'anarchy in the age of the dinosaurs'

MOVED: BAMBOO BIKE TRAILER AND BLUE WOODEN CHEST
There was a bamboo bike trailer and a blue wooden chest with white clouds
rescued from the climate camp aftermath last night. Legal support had seen
an art student really upset at the police not letting him leave with it,
as apparently it was hugely important to a project he was doing. We left
it in the Earl Road squat (and sorry if the trailer got a bit broken
getting it in.) Please help get the word to him if you know who it belongs
to.

MOVED: VARIOUS OTHER ITEMS TO EARL ROAD
Also left at Earl Road: 2 black-grey bike panniers, a large blue karrimor
rucksack, a light brown old-styley down sleeping bag and lots of pop up
tents.

FOUND: TWO COATS
I have two coats that were found on Bishopsgate by a lovely climate camper
called Jane. Can anyone claim them? 1. A rather nice black 'Milano' cycle
jacket made of black waterproof stuff with reflective seams. 2. A green
pullover coat thingy (quite big) Fleece covered in green waterproof stuff
with a 'High Image reflect yourself" logo. I'll bring them to the London
meeting on Tuesday.

FOUND: WHITE SPIRAL BOUND SKETCH BOOK
At 7pm last night when the riot police broke through the south boundary at
Bishopsgate I was behind them and helped tidy up the bicycles, tents etc.
that they trampled. I picked up for safe keeping a white spiral bound
sketch book which I would like to return to its owner. If it belongs to
you get in touch.

FOUND: SMALL ORANGE/RED RUCKSACK BELONGING TO NICOLE DUDA
I am trying to trace someone with a small orange backpack called Nicole
Duda. Does anyone know her? She will be wanting her bag back as it had her
money in it. It was left in a tent near the south perimeter

FOUND: LOWEPRO CAMERA CASE
I found a padded black "Lowepro" (film?) camera case containing a battery
charger and a plug on a lead (but no camera).

FOUND: BUNCH OF KEYS
I've got a bunch of keys with Glacier National Park on them.

FOUND: BLUE AND PURPLE GLASSES
If things have been a bit blurry since your spectacular activities on
wednesday i may be able to help - i found somebody's spectacles. they are
blue and purple plastique (i'd guess for a female face) with silver
hinges.

FOUND: DARK GREEN BEANIE HAT
I picked up a dark green beanie hat by mistake in Bishopsgate after I went
back after the cops had thrown us out, I thought it was black in the dark

FOUND: BROWN SUNGLASSES
I have pair of brown sunglasses that I found.

Contact london at climatecamp.org.uk in relation to any of the above and
we'll put you in contact with the right person.

PLEASE REPORT WHAT YOU'VE LOST OR MOVED OR FOUND
If you have anything to add to the above, please email
london at climatecamp.org.uk and we'll add it to the webpage. Thanks.
