A date has now been set for a committee to consider the highly controversial proposed UKCMRI bioresearch laboratory planning application at Camden Town Hall on Thursday, 16th December from 7pm. The Evening Standard has found out about a "high security plan" for the proposed lab. More below.......

The Science and Technology Committee has announced a new inquiry into the controversial UKCMRI massive bioresearch laboratory project proposed for central London. This is separate from the planning application made to Camden Council. The likely date for Camden Council Development Control Committee to consider the application is 16th December, 2010. Planning Application Now In For UKCMRI Huge Lab

After years of controversy a planning application for the huge UKCMRI bioresearch laboratory proposed for central London has now been registered with Camden Council. Anyone living anywhere can email or write to the council with objections/comments - there is a limited amount of time for people to put in objections, officially until 14th October 2010. Camden People decided campaign to remain local

There are plans to build a deadly virus containment facility and animal testing lab on a Camden Council house estate, alongside St Pancras International behind the British Library. The threat of virus leak is very real, Foot & Mouth disease was leaked form govt facility Pirbright in Surrey into the water supply. Camden needs council homes and community facilites not a deadly lab.
