bailliffs and police mounted a huge operation today to resume work at the leyton marsh olympic site. several people were arrested for public order offences after holding up work for several hours.

i visited leyton marsh yesterday afternoon and spoke to the occupiers and many locals about the olympic build, the legal situation, and the plans to continue resisting.

Local protesters against an Olympic basketball training facility being built on municipal open land were joined for a picnic and protest on Leyton Marsh by marchers from the Occupy London camp at Finsbury Square.

St Paul's Occupation and School of ideas were evicted during the night, starting when the camp was surrounded at midnight. Police moved in and cleared the tents with most campers waiting on the steps with their belongings. St Pauls itself issued a Trespass Order to stop protestors gathering on steps to keep safe & warm from eviction. At 9 am the School of ideas was bulldozed to the ground.
