Ed Greens, 21 year old musical artist & poet from Camden Town, London performed at the Hackney Picture House on 29th March 2012. The show premiered the music video to ‘Screaming Revolution' by Empdy x Ed Greens. I caught up with Ed to ask a few questions, particularly, how he came to start making ‘active' music and why Palestine is a common thread in his music.

Anti eviction at work, squats saved by the people. Early friday morning, police and bailiffs turned up to evict a row of squatted houses in Dalston lane, but luckily the anti eviction squad was out, in numbers this time with over 60 people blocking the road and lining the rooftop.

On Friday morning Hackney squatters and supporters took to the streets to resist the evictions of two squatted homes in Hackney. Following successful resistance they took a neighbourhood stroll to Hackney Town Hall and local branches of Tesco, drawing attention to their role in evictions in the area.
