City police explained to me that protesters were being arrested under Section 152 of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act of 2005. This was incorrect as this section is for the 'Power to seize etc. vehicles driven without licence or insurance'.

Police kettled determined protesters, mainly young students, for the best part of an hour after the main June 30th strike marched through London. Press photographers were also getting hassled by police which were not following ACPO guidelines at all. London, UK, 30/06/2011.

Around 1000 people demonstrated outside the Israeli embassy on Kensington high street on Sunday 27th, to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Israel's war on Gaza. The Israeli army's 22 day 'Operation Cast Lead' left more than 1,400 dead, the vast majority of them civilians, including nearly 400 children.
