7th December: 11.30am This morning protestors from the Climate Camp have blockaded the entrance to the European Climate Exchange in Bishopsgate, London [see video].

The COP Out Camp Out at Trafalgar Square was set up on Saturday after the massive Wave climate demonstration ahead of the Cop15 climate conference which starts today in Copenhagen.

After the Climate Wave demo in central London, the Camp for Climate Action announced by sms the meeting up location for the 'Coup Out Camp Out' action. Following this call, around 200 people gathered from 3pm at Jubilee Gardens in the Southbank waiting for the confirmation of the final loction of the Camp. Camp for Climate Action have done it again! Climate campers took over Trafalgar Square in central London on Sat 5th December in yet another demonstration of bold and creative direct action [see press release]. The Cop Out Camp Out action took place after the Wave demonstration which attracted around 50,000 people. The action comes ahead of the Copenhagen COP15 climate talks taking place next week.

Over 40,000 people took to the streets today for The Wave climate demo in central London in anticipation to the COP15 Climate Summit due to take place in Copenhagen in the next two weeks. Here there a few pics of the demo:

huge march to "send a message to copenhagen". biggest london march in a long while. took nearly two hours to pass one early point. many tens of thousands. everyone went home when they were told, except of course for the climate campers who invaded trafalgar square - see separate story/pics.

the climate camp swoop successfully took over trafalgar square from around 4.30 this evening. here are a few pics from the early stages of the camp. the campers initially intend to remain there for 48 hours. at present, police have no immediate plans to remove them.
