Around 300 people took part in the Big Six Energy Bash climate and cuts protest targeting the UK Energy Summit in London [pics].
Setting off in four blocks from different locations people converged on the summit and there were several attempts to get inside the hotel venue.

Five artists from Climate Rush were arrested last night after taking stencils and green spray paint to the Treasury on the eve of the budget. Osborne’s face was painted – in green – next to the Treasury’s entrance.

To coincide with Tesco’s sponsoring of National Climate Week, Climate Rush, a suffragette-inspired environmental action group, altered approximately 30 stores in central London to highlight the company’s hypocrisy on climate change. The fascias now read TESCO2.

A few quick pics from today's TakeVAT protest at Heathrow airport - see below for leaflet text. What struck me was the number of conversations people were having with holidaymakers and other passengers whilst watching the protest. There's a growing realisation about the unfair way in which the government(s) makes the rich richer, and hits the rest of us making us pay for their crisis.

Hundreds of climate change campaigners yesterday spelt out a giant "2030" in Hyde Park - the date by which they want a 'Zero Carbon Britain'.
The stunt kicked off the latest Campaign Against Climate Change demonstration, which was part of a Global Day of Action on climate change taking place midway through the UN Climate Talks in Cancún, Mexico.

7th December: 11.30am This morning protestors from the Climate Camp have blockaded the entrance to the European Climate Exchange in Bishopsgate, London [see video].
The COP Out Camp Out at Trafalgar Square was set up on Saturday after the massive Wave climate demonstration ahead of the Cop15 climate conference which starts today in Copenhagen.
