On Friday 28th August around 100 campers descended on Canary Wharf to protest at Barclays for their funding of coal industries, as well as their support of the military-industrial complex. We were joined by Charlie 'Everything is OK' Veitch who took the megaphone outside Barclays for this short clip

Update: The last structures were taken down on Blackheath on the morning of Friday 4th September after a full day of tatting down on Thursday - the site was left clear. Planning continues for the Mass Action to shut Ratcliffe power station on 17th/18th October and direct action in Copenhagen for the COP15 Climate Change Conference in December.

Thursday started with an action outside the European Carbon Exchange in Bishopsgate (where the G20 camp was) - Activists set up a Carbon Casino inviting people to gamble on the future of the planet to highlight the issues around carbon trading [report+video][climate camp pics]

It was a particularly early start for around 20 Climate Campers this morning. Bleary eyed but refreshed from our first night on Blackheath we dressed for our day. It was decided not to allow them in the Camp so a meeting took place outside the entrance to the Camp instead. Wind noise drowned out a lot of the conversation unfortunately.
